Results of the International Contest for Young Environmentalists

The XII International (absentee) contest of research works for the children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source” is over. It was organized by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov jointly with the Rostov Region Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Nongovernmental Environmental Foundation named after V.I.Vernadsky. The theme of the contest is “Sholokhov Source”: 20 Years of Environmental and Literary Education”.

The contest was joined by young environmentalists from the North-West, Central, Southern, Far East, and North-Caucasian federal districts of the Russian Federation and from the Lugansk People’s Republic, Kazakhstan, Abkhazia, Belarus and Moldova.

In their research works the children reflected their impressions and remembrances about the movement rallies; they described literary forests, parks, squares from the works of fiction by the writers and poets of their native land, offered their own solutions of the environmental problems.

The Organizing Committee thanks all the contestants for their works and congratulates the winners for their victory.

An awarding ceremony of the winners will take place on April 24, 2019, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The teams absent from the awarding ceremony will be sent diplomas, thanksgiving letters and presents by the Post of Russia.

The Contest Results

The winners are invited to take part in the contest of literary landscape expositions. It is held for the first time by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov jointly with the Union of Russian Writers. The terms of the contest can be seen by the reference.
