Sholokhov Museum at the Tourist Exhibition “Intourmarket-2019”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the XIV International tourist exhibition “Intourmarket-2019”, which was held during March 9 –11, 2019, in the international exhibition centre “Crocus Expo” in Moscow.
The exhibition presented different regions of Russia and foreign countries – China, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, and others. The exhibition sections were run by the representatives of tour operator companies, hotels, sanatoriums, rest homes and air companies. The visitors could get first-hand information and select a kind of rest in Russia and abroad, take part in the numerous draws and contests held at the exhibition. The rich business program included over 150 events.
During the official opening ceremony of the exhibition on March 9, the section of the Rostov Region was visited by honoured guests including O.Y.Golodets, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government.
The Minister of the Rostov Region Economic Development M.V.Papushenko signed a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism with the representative of the company “Aviakompaniya AZIMUT”, a cooperation agreement between the Rostov Region Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry for Tourism and Folk Arts and Crafts of the Dagestan Republic, and an agreement on development of the project “Gastronomic Map of Russia” on the territory of the region.
The Museum section entertained the visitors with games, contests and lotteries. Having answered the questions about the Don country, its traditions and history the quiz contestants received sweet prizes. Everyone was photographed with hashtags #вольныйдон and #дайволючувствам and posted the photo on the Instagram. The winner in the number of likes was given a branded souvenir product. The lottery winner was presented with a set of personal tour service around Rostov-on-Don including flight and accommodation.
The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve presented different tour programs and booklets about all the Museum sites. The booklet “Event Calendar 2019” was most popular among the visitors. The future tourists received the relevant information about the Museum-Reserve, Sholokhov country, its sights and about the holidays held in the home country of the great writer.
Participation of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in the exhibition “Intourmarket-2019” maintained the image of the Museum among the tourist
organizations of Russia and attracted tourists from the regions, where Sholokhov country is a little-known tourist destination.
