Press-Conference Dedicated to Opening the Exhibition “Brothers, Do not Judge Your Brother…”

A press-conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Upper Don insurrection and to the exhibition “Brothers, Do not Judge Your Brother…” which will open on March 11, in Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, took place on February 28, 2019, in Rostov-on-Don, in the press-centre “Don-Media”. The journalists’ questions were answered by A.M.Sholokhov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Culture of the RF State Duma, A.A.Dmitriyeva, the Rostov Region Minister of Culture, and directors of the museums – organizers of the exhibition.

The talk was about the tragic events which took place in the Don country 100 years ago, about the origins and causes of the Cossack rebellion which broke out on the night of March 10-11, 1919, about the significance and uniqueness of the exhibition project organized by the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, the Rostov Regional Museum of Local History, the Novocherkassk Museum of the Don Cossack History, about the new approach to the material presentation – immersion tour.

The press-conference was online-broadcasted by the regional information holding “Don-Media”.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Brothers, Do not Judge Your Brother…” will take place on March 11, 2019, in Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in: 125/69, Bolshaya-Sadovaya Street, Rostov-on-Don.
