“He Lived the Concerns of His Countrymen”

20.02.2019

Before the Memory Day of M.A.Sholokhov, the students of the 5–8-forms had talks about the life and work of the great writer in Kruzhilin Village school.

The museum workers told the children about the childhood and green years of the would-be Nobel Prize winner, the beginning of his literary career, his love for the Don country glorified by him and about his hobby of hunting and fishing.

The children got interested in the fact that Mikhail Alexandrovich was an experienced fisher and hunter, understood the intricacies of those hobbies very well, knew habits of birds and animals, fishing spots and was a good shooter. They remembered Sholokhov’s lines devoted to the nature, the episodes, where the personages of his books are hunting or fishing.

A special talk was about the contribution made by M.A.Sholokhov in the development of the Don country. The boys and girls remembered the talks of the old villagers of Kruzhilin about the meetings with the writer, his help to the state farm, his attentive attitude to the problems of his countrymen.

On February 21, the writer’s Memory Day, all the exhibitions of the Kruzhilin Memorial Historical Complex will be opened for free visiting.
