Talk in the School Museum of M.A.Sholokhov in Rostov-on-Don

21.02.2019

A talk about the life and work of M.A.Sholokhov, the Nobel Prize winner, took place in the museum of M.A.Sholokhov at school No 91, named after the writer, in Rostov-on-Don.

The young Sholokhov scholars read excerpts from Sholokhov's works, recited poems dedicated to the writer and shared their opinions of what they had read.

The meeting took place in a spacious bright room, where quite recently the school museum moved in after the overhaul. The history of the school museum began in 1985, when on the initiative of the school and under the assistance of the “Granit” plant administration the first exhibition was made. Today the museum is the centre of all the educational work, a pride of the school. It numbers over 200 exhibits.

The head of the museum is Lyudmila Alexandrovna Chekaldina, a geography teacher. Her big educational work was marked with numerous diplomas, certificates and thanks. The museum work is supervised by the director of M.A.Sholokhov school No 91 Marina Petrovna Glebezdina and deputy director Tatyana Viktorovna Malovichko.

During the years of work the museum of M.A.Sholokhov was visited by hundreds of rostovites and guests of the city: school students, teachers, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, foreign guests. There many good reviews kept in the Guest Book.
