Environmental Classes for Schoolchildren

On January 30, 2019, an interactive environmental class “Steppe Plants of the Don Country” was held at the school of Andropov Village. The class was joined by over 50 boys and girls.

The museum workers told the children about steppe plants of the native country and organized interesting environmental games.

Like in the popular TV program “Pole Chudes” (“Field of Dreams”), the schoolchildren rotated the drum with the names of plants indicated on it and went on a journey on the map from one point to another, did puzzles with bright colourful pictures and solved riddles about steppe herbs.

The museum workers are going to hold new environmental classes for the children to learn about other kinds of the Don country vegetation.
