NewsThree Days of Christmas Holidays in Sholokhov-Centre10.01.2019During the winter holidays, January 4–6, 2019, Sholokhov-Centre held Christmas holidays – Christmas festival “#сочельник2019”. In spite of the nasty weather, over three thousand guests came to disport themselves in the mansion and in the coach house, where a Christmas fair awaited guests. There, like in old times, children and adults danced, skated on an ice slide and warmed themselves with traditional holiday treats and drinks. The theme of family was particularly observed – on the ground floor of Sholokhov-Centre there ran an exhibition “My Dear, Dear Family…” from the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov. The visitors could get into the warm atmosphere of the hospitable house of the writer. Along with the number of the visitors of Sholokhov-Centre the number of subscribers in our social networks grew steadily. Thus, the Instagram account of Sholokhov-Centre was subscribed by the 777th follower. His family was given a Christmas present – an individual excursion about the exhibition and souvenirs for memory. In the attic of the mansion there were shown favourite Christmas cartoons, and workshops were given to children and adults. A special present for the visitors was an acoustic concert of Irish music performed by the folk group “Old House”, the performances of the vocal ensemble “Yunost Dona” and the Russian folk ensemble “Tachanka” jointly with the tenor Ramin Azimov. At the festival, the “art staircase” showed a picture exhibition of the works by the students of the school-studio “Vdokhnoveniye” (Inspiration) (from Aksai). On January 6, there was an awarding ceremony for the winners. The young artists were given thanksgiving letters and Christmas presents from the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and the partner of the event – “Semikarakorskaya Keramika” company. The students of the Rostov College of Culture were also given thanksgiving letters and volunteer certificates.
