Film Premiere “#Iamavolunteer.Stories of Those Indifferent” was Shown in Sholokhov-Centre

On December 5, 2018, International Volunteer Day, Sholokhov-Centre showed the film premiere “#Iamavolunteer.Stories of Those Indifferent” about volunteers, people, whose feat often goes unnoticed. On that day, the premiere took place in over 2500 areas all over the country.

The creative group setting a goal to “make a film which will help a man to take a breath of fresh air and understand that not all is lost”, worked during the year to result in 15 short stories made about the volunteer movement in Russia.

The first viewers of the media project in Sholokhov-Centre were the students of the Rostov College of Culture.The students viewed the picture in one breath. The film caused many emotions – from laugh to tears. The show ended with applause.

Before the film show, Pyotr Alexandrovich Sholokhov, head of the department of Sholokhov-Centre, talked to the children. He noted the importance of the volunteer activity, told about the volunteer movement of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve and invited the children to take part in development of the museum volunteering which started its work in the Year of Volunteer in Russia and is developing now.

Following the show the viewers noted that the film impressed them greatly and made them change their opinion about volunteering. Even those, who did not go in for volunteering, wished to do it in future – to help people, take part in rescue works and do in some professional sphere.
