Museum Class “New Year in the Sholokhovs’ Family”

It has become a good tradition for the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov to hold a cycle of classes “New Year in the Sholokhovs’ Family” in the Children Museum Centre on the eve of the New Year. This year the classes will take place during December 5–25, 2018.

The children will learn how New Year was celebrated in Rus, will see Christmas decorations of the 1930–1950s, and copies of Christmas cards received by the Sholokhovs’ family. In class, the children will hear memories of the writer’s daughters Mariya Mikhailovna and Svetlana Mikhailovna about their family preparations for celebrating New Year holiday. And Tatyana Tsokur, a resident of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, will tell about her joining the New Year parties for children organized in the house of the Sholokhovs.

During the classes each of the children will make a clay toy to be given to him for memory about the Museum.
