Historical Park “Russia is My History” is Opened for Visits

On October 14, 2018, a multimedia historical park “Russia is My History” was opened in Rostov-on-Don, in the park named after Ostrovsky.

O.A.Anistratenko, Director of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, and the Museum workers were among the first visitors.

The whole history of Russia from ancient times to the present days is shown by means of modern technologies and interactive solutions. The total area of the historical park is 9000 sq.m. The expositions include 900 multimedia units, 20 interactive 3D-media with the reconstruction of historical events, 11 cinema halls, multimedia maps, a 20-metre dome with a video projection, interactive panoramas and scenery.

The knowledge gained during the tour can be consolidated by a number of entertainments – quizzes on huge boards, a 3D-panorama of historical battles and virtual games.

A regional content is presented in each hall. The texts and descriptions were developed by the Rostov scientists including the researchers of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
