Sholokhov’s Personages in Belgorod Country
15.10.2018On October 19, 2018, the Belgorod State Literary Museum will open the exhibition «“Images of Unfading Pages”. Book Graphics on Sholokhov’s Works» displaying the works by the well-known artists from the collection of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.
The residents and guests of the city will see illustrations to Sholokhov’s books made by the graphic masters O.G.Vereisky, Y.P.Rebrov, V.L.Galdyayev, V.M.Baklanov and Kukryniksy. Each of the illustrators is unique in a drawing style masterly picturing the episodes from “Tales from the Don”, “And Quiet Flows the Don”, “Virgin Soil Upturned”, “The Fate of a Man”, “They Fought for Their Country”.
The illustrations to Sholokhov’s works will take the visitors to the bright world of the personages of M.A.Sholokhov and will give an opportunity of new understanding of Sholokhov’s books.
The exhibition will run in Belgorod during October 19 – December 17, 2018.
