NewsResults of the Project “Language is a Spiritual Code of the Nation” will be Discussed at the Round Table10.10.2018On October 12, 2018, the Don State Public Library will host a round-table meeting to discuss the implementation results of the project “Language is a Spiritual Code of the Nation (Spiritual Prospects of Russia at the Turn of the Centuries)” which will be joined by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. The project organized by the Rostov regional public institution “Centre for Development of Civil Society and Public Diplomacy” is implemented using a grant of the RF President for development of the civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation 2017-1. The participants and partners include the Don State Public Library, the Rostov Regional Department of the Union of Russian Journalists, the Rostov State University of Economics, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, the Taganrog A.P.Chekhov Institute, the Don Theatre of Drama and Comedy named after V.Komissarzhevskaya (Cossack drama theatre). The project implementation was joined by more than 6000 residents of the Rostov Region, and this strongly indicates a high interest of the society in preservation of the native language. During the meeting the organizers will tell about the process of the work, the issues discussed at the workshops, the impressions of the schoolchildren who took part in the contests. Based on the project there are two books published. One of them is intended for the younger generation, it contains stories about the Don writers and poets, and the best drawings illustrating proverbs and sayings that were submitted to the contest. The second book contains the materials about strengthening the role of spiritual and moral values in the life of a person in general and in the education of the Don young people in particular. The round-table talk will be joined by teachers, leaders of literary associations, librarians, journalists and civil activists.
