Exhibition “The Study and World of the Writer” will Open in Mikhailovskoye

A unique exhibition project of the Association of Literary Museums of the Union of Russian Museums will open on October 15, 2018, in the State Memorial A.S.Pushkin Historical Literary and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve “Mikhailovskoye”.

The project curated by the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is joined by the well-known literary museums of Russia showing 20 studies of writers who lived and worked in different eras – from the XVIII to XX centuries, from G.R.Derzhavin to M.A.Sholokhov.

The exhibition presents the photo pictures made by Karp Pashinyan, Honored Culture Worker of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Journalists and the Union of Designers of Russia. He tried to show through the interior of the studies of the great Russian writers and poets their life, the atmosphere which reigned in the house and favoured for creative work, and to grasp the connection of the creator with the world surrounding him.

The route of the travelling exhibition runs through several regions of Russia: it was opened in Moscow, in the State L.N.Tolstoy Museum, then it was shown in the Museum-Reserve “Abramtsevo”, in the State A.S.Pushkin Museum-Reserve in Bolshiye Vyazyomy, in the All-Russian A.S.Pushkin Museum and in the Museum of F.M.Dostoyevsky in Saint-Petersburg. From Mikhailovskoye the exhibition will travel to Nizhny Novgorod, the Museum of A.M.Gorky, where the first stage of the project will be completed early in 2019. The second stage will be joined by 9 other museums.

The exhibition will run in the Museum-Reserve “Mikhailovskoye” during October 15, – November 15, 2018.
