Sholokhov Museum at the 24th International Tourist Exhibition “Rest”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the 24th International Tourist Exhibition “Rest-2018” held during September 11–13, 2018, in Moscow, central exhibition complex “ExpoCentre”. The forum was held under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Tourism, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Tour Industry. The exhibition presented about 50 countries of the world including Japan, a partner country of the event, the Dominican Republic, an official partner of the exhibition, the Maldives, Thailand, India, European countries and regions of Russia.

The exhibition presented special offers from the tour agents, hotels, resorts, medical and SPA centers, and other companies. The visitors could learn about the opportunities for beach, ski, sanatorium, gastronomic and other kinds of tourism, and to communicate with the specialists of the tourism industry.

At the exhibition opening ceremony, Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Russian Tour Operators, noted that “the exhibition takes into account all the main trends in Russian tourism, in winter and summer seasons. The countries can present themselves and tour operators can take part in the events of the rich business program”.

The rich business program including sections of business tourism, corporate events, medical, health-improving and ethno-gastronomical tourism was prepared for the professional visitors.

Also, the visitors learned about gastronomical tours, local products, wine farms and national dishes of the regions of Russia and foreign countries.

The organizers of the major autumn tourism forum noted that it favoured for the specialists to be the first to know about the offers of the industry for the new tourist season, to receive the best deals from the international and national partners – agents, hotels, resort complexes, national and regional tourist organizations.

For the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, the exhibition “Rest-2018” has become an opportunity to attract attention of the wide public to the Museum collection and exhibitions, to present its new projects and exchange experience with the colleagues.

The three days of effective work enabled the exhibition members to meet with the regular partners, strengthen the business ties and gain new customers.
