Sholokhov Museum at the Festival of Cossack Culture

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the Regional folklore ethnographical festival of traditional folk Cossack culture “Golden Shield is Cossack Savior” held on July 28, 2018, in Stanitsa Kumylzhenskaya the Volgograd Region.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov showed the guests of the holiday a program of demonstration equestrian performances made by over twenty people –the Museum workers and young horsemen from Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The equestrian performances, which became the closing chord of the festival, delighted the audience, and the horsemen team from Sholokhov Museum was invited to join the next year festival. Little visitors of the festival were greatly impressed by riding on ponies brought from Vyoshenskaya. As well, traditional Cossack souvenirs offered by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov were of great attraction.
