Welcome to the XX “Sholokhov Readings”

During September 11–13, 2018, the XX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Studies in the Work of M.A.Sholokhov: Problems, Concepts and Approaches” (“Sholokhov Readings”) will take place in the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya (arrival day is September 10).

The Main Subjects of the Conference: 

- New approaches to the study in the literary work of M.A.Sholokhov. 

- Modern interpretations of Sholokhov’s works and images. 

- Trends and prospects of the studies in the biography, literary and public work of M.A.Sholokhov. 

-The world recognition of the work of M.A.Sholokhov. 

-The study of the literary work of M.A.Sholokhov at the university and secondary school. 

- M.A.Sholokhov: foreign and national literary criticism in the XX–XXI centuries. 

- The Revolution and the Civil War in the life and work of M.A.Sholokhov (for the 100th anniversary of the Great Russian Revolution and the Civil War in Russia). 

- Theatrical and cinema versions of the works by M.A.Sholokhov. 

- Textological aspect of the study in the artistic heritage of M.A.Sholokhov and the experience of scientific commenting. 

  

On September 11, 2018, a “round table” dedicated to the XX anniversary of “Sholokhov Readings” will be held. 

The conference proceedings will be published. 

Full-time participation is expected.
