NewsExhibition “The Study and World of the Writer” will Open in the All-Russian A.S.Pushkin Museum10.07.2018On July 16, 2018, the travelling photo exhibition “The Study and World of the Writer” will start its run in Saint-Petersburg, in the All-Russian A.S.Pushkin Museum. The exhibition is joined by the major museums of Russia. The first stage of the exhibition project of the Association of Literary Museums of the Union of Russian Museums includes 13 literary museums, then 9 other museums will join them. The curator of the exhibition is the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. In the writer’s house the study always occupied a special place. It was a creative workshop, where the writings were made, here the author spent long hours wondering about the fates of his characters, about the past, present and future of his native country, about correctness of the path chosen by him. Most often the interior of the study was not accidental. Each writer brought here something from his work, from the world where he lived and created. The objects in the study can tell what occupied the owner at a certain period, and what his intellectual interests were. Karl Pashinyan, a photo artist, the RF Honored Worker of Culture, member of the Union of Journalists and the Union of Designers of Russia, tried to show the atmosphere reigning in the house and favouring creative work, to grasp the connection of the creator with the world around him through the interior of the working rooms of the great Russian writers and poets living in different times – from the XVIII to XX centuries. The route of the travelling exhibition lies through several regions of the country: it was opened in Moscow, the State L.N.Tolstoy Museum, then the exhibition was shown to the visitors of the Museum-Reserve “Abramtsevo” and of the State A.S.Pushkin Museum-Reserve in Bolshiye Vyazyomy. Now it is shown in the All-Russian A.S.Pushkin Museum in Saint-Petersburg. The exhibition will run until August 16, 2018, in the halls of the 3rd floor of the Eastern Corps of G.R.Derzhavin Museum-Estate in: 118, Fontanka River Embankment. |
