Motor Rally “Roads of Our Fatherland” Visited Vyoshenskaya

On July 3 and 4, 2018, the home country of Mikhail Sholokhov was visited by the members of the jubilee XXV Motor Rally “Roads of Our Fatherland” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of liberation the North Caucasus and Kuban region from the German fascist invaders.
The route of the motor rally, which started on July 2, in Tula, goes through the territory of the Tula, Ryazan, Tambov, Voronezh, Volgograd and Rostov regions, the Krasnodar Territory, along the coasts of the Black Sea and the Taganrog Bay of the Azov Sea.
Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya is one of the motor rally travel points. The members visited the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, natural sights and memorial sites, and had a competition test – a geographic dictation of the Russian Geographic Society. The points for correct answers will go to the teams in the overall standing of the competition.
The 15 crews representing teams of the Tula State University, the Orlov N.Parakhin State University and the Tula A.Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau are going to cover the distance of 3.5 thousand kilometres as far as Novorossiysk within a week and to turn back to Tula on July 15.
