V.Y.Golubev Visited Cultural Sites

V.Y.Golubev, Head of the Rostov Region Administration, on May 31, 2018, during his business trip, visited the cultural sites in the Kashary and Bokovsky districts including the Farmstead of T.A.Karghin of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Stanitsa Karghinskaya and the place of erecting a monument to F.G.Podtyolkov and M.V.Krivoshlykov in Ponomaryov Village. These places are known to be directly related to the life and work of M.A.Sholokhov.
The monument to the revolutionary Cossacks Podtyolkov and Krivoshlykov was completely renovated in 2018, before the 100th anniversary of the tragic events in Ponomaryov Village, that were brightly described in the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”. The governor laid flowers at the monument.
Then V.Y.Golubev visited the Farmstead of T.A.Karghin, which attracts the visitors with the reconstructed roller mill, outbuildings and the first in the Upper Don cinematograph “Ideal”. The site is developing: there is a garden being restored on the left bank of the River Chir, and a bridge is planned to be built across the river in the same place where the former bridge used to stand. The inspection of the Farmstead was joined by A.M.Sholokhov, Deputy of the RF State Duma.
The head of the region paid his attention to the remoteness of the museum structures from the wide streams of visitors. At the meeting with the authorities of the district and city administrations held in Stanitsa Bokovskaya and devoted to the problems of the Rostov Region tourist potential development, V.Y.Golubev gave his instructions to improve the transport accessibility of tourist facilities in the north of the region and underlined: “We must create all conditions, make the attractions in the region most accessible. Our task is to open our region for all the people who want to get acquainted with the sights of the Don region”.
