Exhibition “The World of Sholokhov” will be Shown in Cyprus

On June 6, before the Day of Russia, the exhibition “The World of Sholokhov” devoted to the work of the great Russian writer and the Don Cossacks will begin its run in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Nicosia (the Republic of Cyprus).

The opening ceremony will take place within the Day of the Russian Language and will become one of the bright events of the “Days of Russia in Cyprus”.

The exhibition displays the manuscripts of M.A.Sholokhov, photographs telling about different events in the life of the Nobel Prize winner in literature, his works published in foreign languages, clothes of Cossack men and women, and houseware of the XIX–early XX centuries (a whip, a shawl, a papakha, and many others).

The exhibition “The World of Sholokhov” will run in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Nicosia until June 16, 2018. Undoubtedly, it will be interesting for the residents and guests of Cyprus, and will further strengthen the cultural ties and cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Cyprus.
