Sholokhov Museum at the XX International Festival “Intermuseum-2018”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the jubilee, XX International festival “Intermuseum-2018”, which took place during May 31 – June 3, 2018, at the Exhibition of National Economic Achievements, pavilion 75, in Moscow.

Traditionally this event embraces hundreds of exhibitioners from Russia and near and far foreign countries. The new site made it possible to significantly expand the geography of the festival and take considerably more visitors. This festival “Intermuseum” presented 300 Russian museums and 39 foreign ones. The number of visitors increased, it was more than 47 thousand people.

The theme of the festival “Museums and Society” was reflected on the stands of the participants and in numerous events of the business and cultural programs.

Joining the festival by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is another opportunity of attracting tourists to the Museum collections and exhibitions, and exchanging the experience with the colleagues. The Museum workers told the numerous visitors about the exhibitions, research, cultural and educational projects, children educational programs and about the tourist attractiveness of the Sholokhov country. They made a presentation of publishing products and answered different questions interesting for the members and guests of the festival.

“Intermuseum” is a unique site not only for the professionals, but also for the wide public, which number increases from year to year.
