Sholokhov Museum-Reserve will Join the “Intermuseum” Festival

During May 31 – June 3, 2018, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov will join the jubilee XX festival “Intermuseum-2018” in Moscow, at the Exhibition of National Economy Achievements (pavilion 75). At our Museum exhibition booth designed on the base of the works by M.A.Sholokhov we will try to convey the spirit of the Don Cossacks.

The Museum-Reserve project “Steed is the Dearest for Cossack” will take part in the festival contest program themed “Museums and Society”, in the nomination “The Best Project Aimed at Social Interaction”.

The declared project run by the Museum-Reserve from 2014, is a complex program aimed at social interaction between different sections of the population and residents of Russian regions. Thanks to its implementation, favourable conditions have been created for maintaining a “dialogue of generations”, acquaintance with the intangible cultural heritage of the Don region and popularization of the Cossacks.

We invite all friends of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and admirers of the talent of the author of the immortal novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” to visit our booth number 162 and support the project, which defence will be held on June 1, during 10.00–17.00, at the Museum of Cinema (pavilion 36, Exhibition of National Economy Achievements).

The Festival Program:

• May 31, from 11:00 to 18:00 – The festival opening ceremony
• June 1, and June 2, from 10:00 to 20:00 – Work with visitors
• June 3, from 10:00 to 15:00 – The festival closing ceremony

The International “Intermuseum” festival is the main museum event of the year. This is a venue for exchanging the experience, an opportunity for the museums to show their achievements, and for the guests – to get to know them.
