NewsExhibition “Holiday Postcard to the Favourite Writer”04.05.2018We invite the guests of the literary ethnographical holiday “Steed is the Dearest for Cossack. Battle Arts of Vyoshenskaya”, which is going to take place on May 6, at the Museum Stables, to visit the exhibition “Holiday Postcard to the Favourite Writer”. For the first time the visitors will be shown the Victory Day greeting postcards which came to M.A.Sholokhov from the readers living in different parts of the great country. If you like, you can buy the postcard copies to congratulate your family. M.A.Sholokhov went through the war as military correspondent for the Sovinformbureau, the newspapers “Pravda” and “Krasnaya Zvezda”. Annually, on the eve of Victory Day, M.A.Sholokhov received a lot of congratulations and the warmest wishes from his relatives, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, soldiers, students and schoolchildren, teachers, authorities, figures of culture and art, and numerous readers. They were issued in large print runs by the publishers “Pravda”, “Goznak”, “Izogiz”, “Sovetsky Khudozhnik”, “Plakat”, “Izobrazitelnoye Iskusstvo”, “Planeta”, and others. The authors of the postcards were Soviet artists I.Dergilyov, S.Kazantsev, P.Chernyshov, N.Zakharzhevsky, A.Lyubeznov, A.Solovyov, R.Abramov, V.Martynov, G.Renkov, V.Voronin and others. Most often the postcards showed spring flowers, well-known monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, orders of Glory, of Great Patriotic War and the order “Pobeda”.
