Contest “Our Sholokhov”
27.03.2018Early in April, students of the north Rostov Region will take part in the literary contest “Our Sholokhov” dedicated to the birthday of the writer. It includes four nominations – artistic reading of excerpts of Sholokhov’s works, fine arts, arts and crafts, and presentations “Sholokhov and Theatre”.
This year the contest marks its jubilee – thirty years ago, in spring 1988, for the first time the talented boys and girls submitted for the jury their works devoted to the great writer. From year to year the number of the contestants increases and their geography expands. The final stage in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya is visited by young reciters, researchers in the work of M.A.Sholokhov, artists and handicraft masters from five districts of the Rostov Region to show their talents. The total number of the contestants reaches half a thousand. For the first time this contest will be joined by the students from the Serafimovich District the Volgograd Region.
The contest is held in three stages: school and regional contests take place locally, and for the final stage the winners of the district stages in each of the nominations come to the homeland of M.A.Sholokhov.
This year the contest final will take place on April 10, in the excursion and exhibition centre “People’s House”: 66, Podtyolkov Street, Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The contest day starts at 10.00.
