Essay Contest on the Works of M.A.Sholokhov

On March 1, 2018, the IV International School Essay Contest on the Works of M.A.Sholokhov begins receiving the works of school students. The contest was organized by the Department of Russian Literature of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences and Management of the Moscow City Pedagogical University jointly with the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve and the scientific and educational journal “Mir Sholokhova”.

Topics of the Essays:

- Where do the personages of the works by M.A.Sholokhov see their sense of life (based on one or two examples)?

- Ways of comprehending the author's idea in depicting the revolution (on the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov).

- What is the beauty and artistic significance of Sholokhov’s epithet?

- Which of the illustrators of the works by M.A.Sholokhov reflected the artistic intent of the writer most accurately?

- My Sholokhov.

The works are accepted until March 30, 2018. The best of the works will be marked with diplomas, and the texts of the contest winners will be published in the journal “Mir Sholokhova”.

The texts of the essays either in the form of scanned or photographed exercise book pages, or computer typed in the WORD text editor should be sent to the e-mail: mirSholokhova@yandex.ru with indication of the full name of the author of the work, the full name of the teacher, who helped in writing it, the school (the exact official name of the educational institution, the website of the organization), form, contact e-mail and telephone number. The works are not reviewed.
