Exhibition “Genius Loci” Began Its Run in Orenburg

On March 1, 2018, the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts opened a photo exhibition “Genius Loci” of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

The exhibition displays 55 artistic pictures by K.G.Pashinyan showing the unique places of Russia, where L.N.Tolstoy, I.S.Turgenev, A.P.Chekhov, M.Y.Lermontov, A.T.Bolotov grew up and made great creators. The exhibition shows literary estates of Yasnaya Polyana, Spasskoye-Lutovinovo, Melikhovo, Tarkhany and Dvoryaninovo, as well as the estates of the painter V.D.Polenov –Polenovo – and of the great composer S.V.Rakhmaninov – Ivanovka.

The opening ceremony was joined by the students of the Orenburg State Pedagogical University, The Orenburg State Institute of Arts named after L. and M. Rostropovich, students of musical school 1 named after P.I.Chaikovsky, and the residents and guests of Orenburg.

The guests were welcomed by Olga Anistratenko, Director of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, and Yury Komlev, Director of the Orenburg Regional Museum of Arts.

The concert program was performed by the students and teachers of the musical school 1 named after P.I.Chaikovsky.
