Exhibition “We Sincerely Wish You Happy New Year!...”in the House-Museum of M.A.Sholokhov

The exhibition “We Sincerely Wish You Happy New Year!...” in the House-Museum of M.A.Sholokhov finishes its run on January 15, 2018. It showed New Year postcards of the 1950–1980s from the archives of the Sholokhovs’ family. This exhibition is added with the postcards from the archives of Mikhail Mikhailovich Sholokhov and Valentina Ismailovna Sholokhova.
In the House-Museum of M.A.Sholokhov, the 3–7 form students were given classes. They learned about the history of the New Year postcard in Russia, about New Year celebration in the Sholokhovs’ family, they saw original New Year postcard greetings sent to the writer and his family. Interesting are the postcards written by the writer himself. At the end of the class the children (some of them for the first time) wrote postcards to their relatives and friends.
132 postcards with New Year greetings were posted directly from the House-Museum of M.A.Sholokhov.
