Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is the Winner in the Competition “Render Your Help While Travelling”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the second official International Day of Responsible Tourism and awarding ceremony for the winners in the competition “Render Your Help While Travelling” which took place during November 21–22, 2017, in Moscow, in the Sate Darwin Museum.

The forum was presented topical environmental, sociocultural, volunteer and ethno-cultural projects from different regions of Russia and foreign countries. The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov told about the museum work on attracting tourists within the framework of the ethno-cultural project “Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. The Land of Don Cossacks”. The performance aroused great interest of the competition organizers – the International Centre of Responsible Tourism and the State Darwin Museum, and of the competition participants.

At the awarding ceremony of the First International Photo and Video Competition “Render Your Help While Travelling” dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia, a number of awards were given to the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. Sergey Bugayov has become the winner in the nomination “Village Revival”: his photo work “All Together” is marked with Honorary Diploma of the photo competition and a valuable prize. The competition finalists were the works by Lidiya Kuzan, Sergey Gribanov and Nikolay Bakhtiyarov from the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. They are also marked with diplomas. All the works were displayed at the exhibition “Render Your Help while Travelling!” run in the State Darwin Museum during September 30 –November 23, 2017.

The competition popularizes a socially responsible tourism, a new phenomenon for Russia, and through the art of photography and video it promotes the principles of careful attitude to the environment, to the objects of cultural heritage and tourist sights.
