“Mir Sholokhova” Journal Archives are Publicly Available on the Museum Website

Full-text editions of the scientific and educational national journal “Mir Sholokhova”, which has been edited by the Museum-Reserve since 2014, can be viewed on the Museum website.

A printed version of the journal can be bought in Sholokhov-Centre of Rostov-on-Don, in the “Souvenir Shop” and in the Museum structures of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, Stanitsa Karghinskaya and Kruzhilin Village. Besides, a printed version of the journal is distributed by mailing list and goes to libraries and scientific institutions.

The next issue, 2, 2017 (the eighth), of the journal “Mir Sholokhova” will be published this December. It opens with an article by V.Y.Kurbatov “In the Word and Behind the Word”. The readers will be informed by E.A.Kostin about the issue of a scientific edition of the novel by M.A.Sholokhov “And Quiet Flows the Don” prepared by the scholars of the World Literature Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. There are the articles: by A.I.Vanyukov «Book in the Novel Structure of “And Quiet Flows the Don”»; by O.A.Chekanova telling about the museum of M.A.Sholokhov in Daryinskoye Village (Kazakhstan). The world significance of the writer’s work and nuances of perception of Sholokhov’s word by foreign readers will be the subject of consideration in the article devoted to the translations of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” into the English and Italian languages. The section “Archives” publishes previously unknown letters of Vsevolod Vishnevsky. There is new information in the sections “Chronicle” and “Bibliography”.

A separate block of publications is planned on the topic “Sholokhov and Modern Japan”, which, in particular, will publish for the first time a recently translated into Russian essay about the meeting of Daisaku Ikeda, the outstanding religious and public figure, with M.A.Sholokhov.

The journal is issued twice a year. As well, its editions can be viewed in the Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU .
