Exhibition Program Dedicated to the National Unity Day

On November 3, 2017, Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov will show exhibition program “Responsible for the Past, Present and Future” dedicated to the National Unity Day.

The Art Stairs of Sholokhov-Centre will open an exhibition of the art works by the students of Rostov-on-Don schools “We are One Nation – We Have One Country” dedicated to the works by A.P.Chekhov, V.A.Zakrutkin, V.A.Kalinin, M.A.Sholokhov. The exhibition is prepared jointly with the Rostov-on-Don Department of Education within the project of social partnership “Cultural Heritage”.

The multimedia hall will start the run of the photo exhibition “The Don Flows across All Russia” of Mariya Kim.

Mariya Nikolayevna Kim is a member of the Russian Union of Journalists, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, chief editor of the newspaper “Koryo Saram-na-Donu” of the Rostov Region Korean Association. She is awarded for the contribution into development of culture.

M.N.Kim in her journalist work focuses on the theme of interethnic relations, work of the Don national and cultural autonomies and coverage of cultural events related to public holidays. A number of her running commentaries tell about the Tatar “Sabantuy”, Georgian “Davitoba”, Azerbaijani “Novruz-Bairam”, Ukrainian “Shevchenko Spring”, the festival of Korean culture, and others. The personal photo exhibitions “Everyone Feels Home in the Don Country”, “The Soul of the Child in the National Memory”, “The Don Peoples”, “The Whole World is Theatre” and others were successfully shown in many cities and districts of the Rostov Region. The photo exhibition showing a multinational character of the Don capital had a successful run in Bulgarian Pleven and in German Gera, sister-cities of Rostov-on-Don.

The photo exhibition “The Don Flows across All Russia” is prepared specially for the National Unity Day. The Don region has always been characterized by high ethnocultural diversity. What unites its inhabitants? Firstly, the River Don, which banks are populated by different nationalities living in peace and harmony. Secondly, the names of the people making up the national dignity, pride, world fame and the basis of spiritual unity – M.A.Sholokhov, A.P.Chekhov,

A.I.Kalinin, V.A.Zakrutkin. Thirdly, historical, literary, cultural events and holidays.

The exhibition has four sections: “The Don Country Nature”; “Famous Don People”; “The Don Holidays”; “We are Together”.

The photo exhibition “The Don Flows across All Russia” will run until December 3, 2017.
