The Best Pie of Karghin Fair is a Miracle!

Old people usually say: “But in our time…” But the culinary competition held by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov showed that nowadays there are real masters of cooking goodies as well as their mothers and grandmothers did. The recipe is simple here: you are to have skillful hands and do everything heartily!

The competition “Miracle Pie” will take place for the first time on October 8, 2017, at the literary ethnographical holiday “Karghin Fair on Intercession Days”. The applications for participation have been received already. All the competitors are to be registered that morning from 9.00 to 9.30, with their product, at the mill farmstead. The pie is to weigh no less 1.5 kg. The competition organizers will give you further instructions or you can get the information in advance on the phone: 8-863-53-21-3-77.

Any guest can be one of the jury to taste the pies and estimate their qualities and appearance. Having tasted all the pies he has the right to vote but only once for the sample he likes with a special counter. The view of the audience is the most impartial assessment.

Besides, the viewers can support the competitors at the moment of performing their “product” presentation on the stage.

This competition held by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is purposed for preserving local culinary traditions, promoting an environmentally friendly product and joining the holiday guests to the experience of their ancestors.
