“Forest Tier” in Vyoshenskaya

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve jointly with the Novocherkassk A.K.Kortunov Engineering Reclamation Institute of the Don State Agricultural University and Small Forest Academy holds next relay race-quiz “Forest Tier” on October 11, 2017, near the Stables of the Museum-Reserve.

Besides the winners of the first stage, which was held on the 8 of April in Novocherkassk, the relay race-quiz will be joined by young ecologists from 14 schools of the Rostov, Volgograd, Voronezh regions and the Republic of the Crimea. The informative and entertaining competition broadens and deepens knowledge about forest, develops a comprehensive attitude to the environment, gives an opportunity to schoolchildren to show their knowledge in the field of botany, dendrology, soil science and ornithology, and to learn the basics of forest taxation.

We hope the children will share their knowledge and skills with their peers to protect the Don country environment all together.
