Day of Knowledge in Sholokhov Museum

On September 1, 2017, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov invites boys and girls to the children’s holiday dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.

The holiday will take place in two areas – in the excursion and exhibition centre “People’s House” (66, Podtyolkov Str.) and in the “Entertaining Hamlet” (62, Sholokhov Str.).

Museum classes dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia will take place at the exhibition “I Can’t Live without Nature…” shown in the “People’s House”. The children will learn about the work of M.A.Sholokhov on the environment protection, about the plants and animals registered in the Rostov Region Red List of Threatened Species, and the kinds of fish found in the River Don at present. They will learn how to make funny spiders from the waste materials, and at the end of the class they will receive an important document – “Rules of Behaviour in the Wildlife”.

In the interactive area “Entertaining Hamlet”, the children will see a photo exhibition telling about the exhibitions of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, will take part in funny games, competitions and workshops, will learn how to write with a metal pen and ink, will send holiday postcards to their friends, will ride on the old swings and on a pony.

The children will take part in skipping rope competitions, ecological marathon, pottery classes and other kinds of interesting activities. All the holiday participants will get souvenirs made by themselves.
