Sholokhov Museum has Won Souvenir Competition

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov has won the regional round of the All-Russian Festival-Competition “Tourist Souvenir” of the North-Caucasian, Central and Southern Federal Areas. It was held on August 4–5, 2017, in Belgorod. All the souvenirs presented by the Museum for the competition won the first places in their nominations.

A ceramic souvenir “Drink and Go” has won the first place in the nomination “Souvenir of the Region”. The souvenir “Drink and Go” consists of a stand in the form of a horse stirrup and a cup to unite the traditions of the Don folk crafts and Cossack customs. The souvenir is designed and manufactured by the CJSC “Aksinya”.

A collection of 80 magnets showing pictures of the structures and exhibitions of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov amazed the jury with a variety of pictures and reasonable prices, and won the first place in the nomination “Museum Souvenir”.

In the nomination “Tourist Route Souvenir” the winner was a collection souvenir “Tourist Mark” made in the form of wooden medals with pictures of the Museum structures and Sholokhov country sights. The souvenir was designed jointly with the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and the LLC “Tourist Mark”.

A collection of dolls dressed in traditional Cossack costumes “We are Don Cossacks” won in the nomination “Souvenir Toy”. The dolls made by the Saint-Petersburg artists attracted the public with the brightness, originality and ethnographical accuracy of their costumes.

The victory in the competition finale was claimed by over 200 souvenirs from 12 regions of the country in 10 nominations. In all, the festival-competition was presented 423 souvenirs from 20 regions of the country.

The All-Russian finale of the competition will take place in November in Kirov.
