Don Countrymen in Sholokhov-Centre

During the 15–17 of September, 2017, in Rostov-on-Don, there was held an annual meeting of the Don countrymen to mark the significant date – the 80th anniversary of establishing the Rostov Region. On September 16, a big delegation of 150 residents of the region visited Sholokhov-Centre of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
The Museum warmly received the famous citizens: the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Heroes of Russia, generals, pilots, scientists, businessmen, actors and many others. In the exhibition halls the guests with great interest saw the exhibition “Four Lives of Chekhov”, in the musical patio they enjoyed the performance of a big-band directed by A.M.Teratsuyan from the Rostov College of Arts. Then in the multimedia hall they joined a presentation of the project “People’s Military Historical Museum Complex “Sambek Heights.
The meetings of the Don countrymen are actively organized by the Rostovite Community “Stanitsa of the Don” existing in Moscow more than 20 years to bring together the Rostov Region countrymen. In memory of the meeting in Sholokhov-Centre a video film was made, and we sincerely thank Marina Kononova, executive producer of the project “The Rostov Region Coat of Arms”, and Lyudmila Vracheva, leader of the Executive Committee of the Rostovite Community, for this present.
