The Museum of M.A.Sholokhov at the Regional Rally of Young Ecologists
11.09.2017The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and the undergraduates, graduate students and teachers of the Novocherkassk A.Kortunov Engineering and Reclamation Institute joined the seventh rally of the Rostov Region young ecologists. It was held on September 5 –9, 2017, in the Neklinovsky District sport camp “Romashka”.
The rally, which gathered 220 students and 55 teachers of the Rostov Region municipalities, was aimed at involvement of the Don students into the children and youth environmental movement and exchange of experience in environmental education. The rally was organized by the Rostov Region Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The forum program included development of social environmental projects for their further realization in the regional municipalities, “green” lessons, environmental quests, presentations of interactive areas showing the skills of studying natural objects.
The members of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and the Novocherkassk A.Kortunov Institute presented a relay race-quiz “Forest Tier” at one of the interactive areas. The enthusiastic competition for school students enlarges knowledge about forest, fosters a careful attitude to the environment, enables the young ecologists to show their knowledge in botany, dendrology, pedology and ornithology, train in the basics of forest taxation and take part in phytomarathon.
The young ecologists and their teachers were brightly impressed by the rally, were given new strengths, energy and desire to participate in the great and useful work – environment protection of the Don country.
