Sholokhov Museum Regaled Belgorod People with Field Porridge
07.08.2017The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the food festival “Russian Porridge” held on August 5, 2017, on Belgorod City Day which gathered more than 100 participants.
Culinary experts from different regions of the country cooked a popular and everyone’s favourite dish using traditional and new recipes. The cooks of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov treated the holiday guests and jury with traditional field porridge, which Upper Don Cossacks cooked at the stake in the field. The porridge was rich, hearty and delicious what was indicated by the caldron emptied within a couple of hours and the first place in the nomination “For Preservation of Historical Traditions”.
The guests of the holiday could taste porridge, learn a lot of interesting things about Sholokhov country, Cossack costumes, have a photo taken for their memory in the old photo studio and buy souvenirs.
The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve was awarded the Diploma for active participation in the food festival “Russian Porridge”.
