NewsSholokhov Museum Invites to the Exhibitions in the People’s House23.06.2017The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov continues showing the best samples of the Russian cultural heritage to the residents and guests of the Don country and invites to the exhibitions in the excursion and exhibition centre “People’s House”. Within the project “Museum in the Museum” the People’s House displayed the unique collections from the major museums of Russia: the State Historical Museum (Moscow), the State A.S.Pushkin Museum (Moscow), the Museum of the World Ocean (Kaliningrad), the State Central Theatrical Museum named after A.A.Bakhrushin (Moscow), the Crimean ethnographical Museum (Simferopol), and others. Now there are two exhibitions. One of them is “Manor World of the Moscow Neighbourhood” from the collection of the State United Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoye-Izmailovo-Lyublino”. It takes the visitors into the atmosphere of ballroom parties and secular amusements of the Moscow nobility. The exhibition shows luxurious rare tableware, items of furniture, different accessories. A special section of the exhibition shows reconstructions of forgotten and outdated cakes restored based on recipes from old cookbooks by master confectioner Aldis Brichevs. The second exhibition “I Can’t Live without Nature” from the collection of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov tells about the work of the landscape master M.A.Sholokhov, about his contribution into preservation of natural resources of Russia. The visitors will see the letters, where Mikhail Alexandrovich applied to higher authorities interceding about the material and technical base development of the district enterprises, rare pictures of the writer at the moments of rest in the wildlife. The exhibition presents the materials about the environmental work of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, the international children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source”. We welcome residents and guests of the stanitsa to the exhibitions in the People’s House (Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, 66, Podtyolkov Str., tel.: +7(86353) 23-1-00) from 9.00 to 16.00.
