Summer Holidays in Sholokhov-Centre

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov realizes in Rostov-on-Don a project for children “Summer Holidays in Sholokhov-Centre”. Welcome to the tours, interactive classes and workshops!

The exhibition “Poetry is not Only in Verses...” from the collection of the State Memorial and Natural Museum-Reserve of I.S.Turgenev “Spasskoye-Lutovinovo (June 1 – June 18).

I.S.Turgenev is a writer, playwright, translator, one of the Russian literature classics. The visitors will learn about the main stages of life and work of the famous writer who was also a famous hunter. On school summer holidays the excursions will be supplemented with quizzes, competitions and riddles.

The price of an organized children’s group (over 10 persons) is 50 Rub / a person.

The exhibition “Travelling around the World” from the collection of the Museum of the World Ocean, Kaliningrad (July 1 – September 24).

The visitors can make a round-the-world trip, travel to the unknown islands, see their wonderful wildlife and learn about the peoples of the foreign countries. The main thing for a real traveller is to believe in his strength and return to his native shore with new knowledge, discoveries and unforgettable impressions. This is our wish for all the visitors of the exhibition “Travelling around the World”.

Interactive class “The Don Tulips. Painting on Wooden Spoons”

The members of the class will learn about the history of a spoon, the Don traditions of making spoons of wood and different painting techniques. The children will paint on wooden spoons to make them fine souvenirs for their memory.

The ticket price is 50 Rub/a person.

Interactive class “Music Box”

The folk music, or musical folklore, is an integral part of the people’s art. The members of the class will learn about songs and dances of different nations, will hear the melodies of the folk musical instruments (harp, duduk, balalaika, rattles and others) and will be able to play them. The children will learn more about the Cossack song and its varieties. Directed by the professional choirmaster they will learn a merry folk song and playing wooden spoons.

The ticket price is 50 Rub/a person.

Sholokhov-Centre of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve offers a big choice of museum interactive activities and workshops:

•         “Poetry in Colours”. Drawing in ebru technique.
•         “Golden Mane Horse”. Making a toy horse of bast.
•         “Chocolate Laboratory”. Making a chocolate sweet.
•         “Tea Party with the Sholokhovs”. A talk about the life and work of the writer with a cup of the Don tea.
•         “Art Workshop”. Making ceramic candlestick of clay.

The ticket price for any activity is 50 Rub/a person.

The group is under 30 persons.
