NewsA Museum Class “History on the Thread”01.06.2017The interactive classes for schoolchildren “History on the Thread” in the excursion and exhibition centre People’s House have been completed. They were held at the exhibition “The Peoples of the Crimea” from the collection of the Crimean Ethnographical Museum. The children made a virtual trip around the Crimean peninsula inhabited by the representatives of 30 nations. They learned about the diversity of cultures, features of life and economic activity of different peoples. The boys and girls enthusiastically examined the national costumes of Bulgarians, Russians, Ukrainians, Byelorussians and other peoples, and found in them similar décor elements. Playing geographical lotto they remembered that over 120 nationalities and ethnic groups live in the Crimea. At the workshop the children learned to use threads and make pompoms decorating clothes of some Crimean peoples. The classes aroused a great interest, and during the exhibition they were attended by over 130 children of the Sholokhov District.
