All-Russian Literary Folklore Holiday “Sholokhov Spring”. A Picture Story
27.05.2017The hospitable Don country for the 32nd time holds the All-Russian literary folklore holiday “Sholokhov Spring” dedicated to the birthday of the great Russian writer M.A.Sholokhov under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The holiday is included in the National Event Calendar, it is the winner of the Grand Prix of the National Award in Event Tourism “Russian Event Awards” in the nomination “The Best Award in Culture” and is awarded the Diploma of the National Award “Faces of the Mass Theatre”. Within the three decades the holiday was visited by 1 000 000 spectators and 50 000 actors and performers from different parts of Russia and foreign countries.
The holiday was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, the Rostov Region Ministry of Culture and the Rostov Regional House of Folk Art.
The holiday program is designed to cover several stage areas in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, where M.A.Sholokhov lived most of his life, in Kruzhilin Village, the homeland of the writer, in Stanitsa Karghinskaya, where he spent his childhood, youth and began his writing biography, and in Rostov-on-Don, the capital of the South of Russia.
The website visitors will see a holiday picture story which will be enriched with new pictures during the day.
