The Winners of the Contest “Our Sholokhov” in Rostov

14 winners of the contest “Our Sholokhov” held in April of 2017, were awarded a tour to Rostov-on-Don, and on April 29, they set off on a journey to discover for themselves the Rostov of museums and theatres.

In Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, the best young reciters and painters visited the exhibition “Poetry is not Only in Verses…” from the collection of the Museum-Reserve of I.S.Turghenev “Spasskoye-Lutovinovo”. They discovered for themselves this writer to be a passionate hunter and singer of the native nature. After the excursion the teenagers trained in drawing using ebru technique trying to convey the beauty of the landscapes of Turghenev’s places and their first experience was a success.

That day was rich in discoveries: the lovers of history learned many interesting things in the Rostov Region Museum of Local Studies, and the young artists were enthusiastic about examining the painting originals by Russian and foreign painters in the Museum of Fine Arts. And all of the visitors admired the performance of the actors of the M.Gorky Drama Theatre.

The winners of the contest “Our Sholokhov” thanked the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov for the opportunity to have a new look at the Rostov familiar to them.
