“Environmental Meetings” with Schoolchildren
13.04.2017Within the Year of Ecology in Russia the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held a round-table talk “Natural Heritage of M.A.Sholokhov and His Role in Formation of Environmental Culture in the Younger Generation” in the secondary school of Bazki the Sholokhov District.
The Museum workers told the children about the environmental initiatives of Mikhail Sholokhov, about the Museum-Reserve work on preservation the memorial landscapes, about the environment-forming role of forests of our district. Besides, the schoolchildren learned about the natural monuments and unique biogeocoenoses of the Museum protected natural landscape zone.
The children were active in discussing the key problems and were interested in the details of the environmental work and asked many questions.
We expect such meetings with schoolchildren will become one more step to improving environmental awareness of the younger generation and will help to develop their conscious and careful attitude to preservation and augmentation of the natural resources of the native country.
