Welcome to Sholokhov Country!
30.03.2017The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is going on showing you the sights of Sholokhov country.
Each Internet user can take part in the project “Welcome to Sholokhov Country!” downloading for free the desktop pictures in your computer. You can select a proper size picture to your choice – with a current month calendar or without it.
Each month a new picture is added. Now you see a tulip steppe called “lazorevaya”.
In the Don region a steppe tulip is called lazorevy flower. In one of the early short stories called “The Azure Steppe” (Lazorevaya Steppe) M.A.Sholokhov writes: “The azure steppe was dozing in the smoky bluish twilight, the bees were gathering their last harvest for the day from the round caps of fading thyme.”
