Sholokhov Museum-Reserve at the Workshop “Our Native Country”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the workshop “Our Native Country”, which was held in Volgograd on March 17, under the leadership of the Russian Union of Tour Industry and the Federal Agency for Tourism on the purpose of promotion of the internal, inbound cultural informative tourism.

This project was joined by the regional host tour operators – a group of companies “Petrotur”(Saint-Petersburg), the tour holding “Rodina” (Karelia), the tourist company “Mir Prekrasen” (the Crimea), the travel agency “Na Semi Kholmakh” and the tourist companies “KRiST” and “Kripton” (Moscow), the travel company “Ladya” (the Caucasian Mineral Waters), the Department for Tourism of Nizhny Novgorod, and others.

During the training workshop each of the participants could tell about the sights of his region, offer a final travel product and share his experience with the audience.

The Museum-Reserve workers made a presentation “The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.The Country of the Don Cossacks” showing the tourism potential of the Museum and its work on attracting tourists. A personal contact with the representatives of the travel agencies enabled a direct dialogue with the workshop members from different regions to boost further demands for tours to Vyoshenskaya.
