NewsSholokhov Museum Joined the Forum “Russia Eventful”03.03.2017The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the All-Russian Tourist Forum “Russia Eventful” which took place on February 26–28, 2017, in Tolyatti. The brisk discussion of the ways of increasing the tourist attractiveness of the Russian Federation was joined by the tour operators, representatives of the tourist information centres and tourist committees of the RF subjects, organizers of event tours and holidays. Natalya Trofimenko, a leading specialist for international activity of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, took part in the intensive training workshop on event tourism, which presented the experience in the fields: effective promotion of the events in the information space, inviting tourist groups to a festival or a holiday, work with sponsors, and others. On February 26, within the program “A Minute of Fame” Natalya Trofimenko presented the annual literary and ethnographical holiday “Karghin Fair on Intercession Days” intended for reviving the traditions of bright Don fairs and merry Cossack amusements. The Rostov Region entered the top five of the most successful organizers of tourist events as resulted from evaluation of the RF subjects activity of the by the organizers of the National Prize in event tourism “Russian Event Awards”. The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov was noted to be one of the most attractive places for tourists in the Rostov Region. The forum was organized by the National Association of the Event Tourism Specialists, the Council of Regions of the Russian Tour Industry Union, Tourist Information Centre of the Samara Region, the Department of International and Interregional Relations of the Tolyatti City District Council, Public Relations Development Foundation “Region PR”, “Event Tourism Council of the Samara Region” under the support of the Samara Region Government, the Tolyatti City District Council and the Technopark “Zhigulyovskaya Dolina”.
