08.02.2017

On February 18, 2017, Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in Rostov-on-Don will hold a charity concert dedicated to the memory of the actors of the Academic A.V.Alexandrov Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army, who tragically perished on the 25 of December, 2016, in the plane crash over the black Sea.

In 2016, the ensemble included about 200 members: soloists, an orchestra, a male chorus and a mixed dance group. In the plane crash, 64 actors, practically the whole body of the legendary chorus, tragically perished. Among the victims there were people from Rostov-on-Don – Vladimir Khalimon, a graduate from the Rostov S.V.Rakhmaninov State Conservatory, and Dmitry Beschastnov, a first-year student.

The concert dedicated to the memory of the actors will be joined by the vocal troupe “Tenor and Soprano” consisting of the actors of the Rostov State Musical Theatre, musicians, soloists of the Rostov Philharmonic Society and the orchestra leaders of the Rostov S.V.Rakhmaninov State Conservatory. The program will include the works by the composers N.Bogoslovsky, V.Solovyov-Sedoy, K.Molchanov, E.Kolmanovsky, M.Blanter, I.Shaferan, K.Listov, E.Martynov, E.Korguyeva and others, and Russian folk songs.

The concert will be held under the support of the “Amapola” Producer Centre and “Azim Marin” Ltd. Company.

The charity concert will take place on February 18, 2017, at 17:00 in Sholokhov-Centre of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in: 125/69, Bolshaya Sadovaya, Rostov-on-Don.

Free admission by invitation only (can be obtained at the box office of Sholokhov-Centre). Donations from the concert will go to help the families of the deceased Rostov actors.
