“Sholokhov Source” Makes New Friends

On February 1, 2017, the organizing committee of the contest “The Environment Around Us” of the XVIII Rally of the Children and Youth movement “Sholokhov Source” has completed receiving the research works of the student contestants.

The contest was sent 116 research and creative works devoted to environmental education. Traditionally the contest was joined by young ecologists from the Central, South, North-Caucasian and Privolzhsky federal districts. However the geography of “Sholokhov Source” expands from year to year, and this year for the first time the contest works were sent from the Republic of the Crimea, the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics, from Moldova, Siberia and Ural federal districts: the Omsk, Sverdlovsk, Orenburg, Tomsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions, the Krasnoyarsk, Altai and Primorsk Territories and the republics of Komi and Buryatia.

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve and the V.I.Vernadsky Non-Governmental Fund thank all the children, leaders and teachers for participation in the contest. The contest results will be online posted in March on the website of the Museum-Reserve www.sholokhov.ru . The awarding ceremony will take place on April 26, 2017, during the I Round of the XVIII Rally of the “Sholokhov Source” movement.
