Environmental Week Began at the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov

From 12 to 15 October, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held a Week of Environmental Activities. It began with a tree planting campaign “I Grow Together with You”, which was joined by the children of “Romashka” kindergarten No 2.

Singing a song about forest the children, their teachers and the Museum workers went to plant “personal” trees in the forest park “Forest Pearl of Eurasia”. The children examined the saplings of white mulberry and black mulberry with a closed root system and planted them with the assistance of the adults.

Each child tied a ribbon with his name, date of the tree planting, name of the kindergarten, and received a commemorative badge with a logo of the tree planting campaign “I Grow Together with You”. Now the children will observe the growth and development of the trees planted by them.

The campaign was completed with a tour about the stables of the Museum-Reserve, riding in a horse-drawn carriage and feeding the horses with carrots.
