NewsThe Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is a Champion in Event Tourism19.10.2016The finale of the National Prize “Russian Event Awards” in event tourism of 2016 was held in Yaroslavl on October 13–15. The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov presented its event projects in three nominations and gained the highest results. The Grand-Prix in the nomination “The Best Event in Culture” was deservedly gained by the All-Russian literary and folklore festival “Sholokhov Spring”. For 32 years already, late in May, Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya has been receiving guests and participants of the festival and during these years around a million spectators and fifty thousand actors and performers visited the hospitable Sholokhov country to see and to preserve forever a bit of the big “Sholokhov Spring”. The Grand-Prix in the nomination “The Best Area for Holding Tourist Events.Museum Complexes” was won by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov for the achievements in development and promotion of the event tourism. The holidays and tourist events, always interesting, bright and topical, which are held by the Museum, from year to year attract an increasing number of guests and participants. The first prize in the nomination “The Best Event in Spreading Folk Traditions and Trades” was won by the annual literary ethnographical holiday “Steed is the dearest for Cossack.Martial Arts of Vyoshenskaya”. The holiday has been held since 2014; it tells about the Don Cossack traditions, about the unbreakable bond of Cossack with his horse, a true friend; it conveys old Cossack customs from grandparents to grandchildren and teaches us to love and defend our country. The contest was joined by 702 projects from 64 regions of the Russian Federation to pass four regional stages: in Vladivostok on 9–11 September (Siberian, Far Eastern), in Ulyanovsk on 14–15 September (Privolzhsky, Ural), in Yelets on 23–24 September (North-Western and Central Federal territories) and in Sebastopol on 28-29 September (South Federal and Crimean territories). The finale was joined by 161 projects from 42 regions of the Russian Federation. Together with the Museum-Reserve people the defence of the projects was shared by the Cossack army municipal group “Pravoslavny Don” (the Orthodox Don) directed by Gennady Vechorkin, Honoured Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. A Cossack song performed by the group aroused a genuine delight and recognition of the jury, who on completing the presentation asked to make “a family” photo. Paraphrasing the well-known words by L.N.Tolstoy: ”the people want to be Cossacks”, we can confidently confirm: “the jury wants to be with Cossacks!” Congratulations to our Museum for the well-deserved awards! |
